In addition to providing native write-blocked access to SATA andIDE drives, the Forensic LabDock U5 model also incorporates a USBWriteBlocker, so you can forensically access USB thumb drives ormany USB drive enclosures.

Do you know what could be lurking in the hidden areas of a harddrive? HPA (Host Protected Areas) or DCO (Device ConfigurationOverlays) can exist on hard drives, which are not detected oraccessible by your operating system. The Forensic LabDock U5 willalert you if these areas exist, so you can inspect them. TheForensic LabDock U5 comes with software to let you choose how tohandle any hidden areas it encounters.

Forensic LabDock U5 offers native connections for the most commondrives types, such as SATA and IDE/PATA. Optional SATA and PATAAdapters are available that allow access to many additional typesof drives such as ZIF drives, notebook drives, drives found iniPods, and more. SATA and PATA Adapters work with many of ourdocking products, including the Forensic LabDock.
