De krachtige nieuwe Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 v4 productfamilie biedt veelzijdigheid voor verschillende werkbelastingen. Deze processors zijn ontworpen om een nieuwe generatie datacenters met een software defined infrastructure op te baseren die gericht zijn op efficiëntie, krachtige prestaties en de flexibele levering van diensten voor zowel traditionele als cloudapplicaties. Ze ondersteunen werkbelastingen voor cloud, high-performance computing, netwerken en opslag.

Prestaties
De Intel® Xeon® processor E5 v4 familie is gebaseerd op 14 nm procestechnologie en biedt tot 22 kernen/44 threads per socket en 55 MB last-level cache (LLC) per socket voor extra prestaties, en beschikt daarnaast over Intel® Transactional Synchronization Extensions (Intel® TSX) voor verbeterde prestaties van parallelle werkbelastingen.

Geoptimaliseerd voor orkestratie
Intel® Resource Director Technology (Intel® RDT) maakt dynamisch en efficiënt beheer van gedeelde bronnen en verbeterd gebruik van bronnen mogelijk dankzij technologie voor beheer en toewijzing van cache, prioritering van code en data, en controle van geheugenbandbreedte.

Verbeterde beveiliging
Verbeterde cryptografische prestaties maken het mogelijk om versleutelde gegevens snel te verzenden via beveiligde verbindingen. Daarnaast worden platforms en netwerken beter beschermd dankzij verbeterde beveiligingssleutels.
